This is a great jacket that manages to be cool when walking and warm when you stop - scrunches up very small for the warmth it gives. I love my other heavier jackets but this one is going to be great for spring/autumn use

Love it. Since buying a week ago I’ve worn it running and cycling. Great to just take the chill off. Colour is amazing.

Really nice jacket, bought to replace a more casual Patagonia Baggies jacket for walks in drizzle/unpredictable British weather. I've already worn it 15 minutes of rain and didn't feel wet at all either, stayed comfy and dry. Compared to the Patagonia jacket it's replacing, it feels significantly lighter and less clammy/stuffy, owing I assume to the more breathable material. It also didn't wet out and get heavy. I think in general it'll much more adaptable to the inconsistency of British weather.

I went slightly bigger on size than recommended (42) so I could also layer under/get fatter, I'd say the size chart for this is pretty spot on.

I've knocked it one star because I kinda wish it had internal chest pockets, though it'd probably detract from next to skin comfort. The jacket also had multiple excess threads in several areas I had to cut out of the bag, which at this price point just felt less than ideal.

Exactly what you'd expect from a Buffalo jacket - beautifully made, great materials and very comfortable. The torchlight orange is a fantastic colour too.

Glad I decided to add this to my collection!

I bought this jacket for my partner who has been wearing Buffalo for over 20 years - used in the mountains and walking all over the UK. He is delighted with the new 03 jacket as an alternative to his Special 6 and Belay Jacket in warmer weather. These products are not cheap but they offer decades of service …. Customer service was great - ordered online and delivered the next day.

Brilliant jacket

Very impressed with quality, sizing. Great new colour with bright orange. I already have a belay jacket so this is a great addition for the warmer months. You can’t fault Buffalo quality. I’ve still got my original Buffalo Special 6 which I got in Royal Marines 35 years ago!

Tested in the Scottish Highlands today. Performed admirably. Perhaps the best thing is how quickly it dries out. The only slight change for me would be a longer strip of velcro for the cuffs.

So far, so excellent.
I've worn this a few times now in June 2026.
Lovely bright colour, super lightweight, nice texture against the skin.
The jacket was a commission item and arrived within approximately 2 weeks, which was half the time advertised and what I imagined it would take.
I have exclusively worn it next to the skin and hiked my local area which is the Carneddau, the wind resistance is fantastic and I have been warm enough with just the O3 on even when windchill was down at around 3 degrees Celsius.
Unfortunately, the weather has turned far too warm now to wear it, so, maybe it's next outing will be in a few months or maybe days, this is Wales of course!

Been wearing Buffalo since early 90s. That shirt is still in use. Their kit is the best and this is a great addition in gorgeous colour. Worn it virtually every day since I got it.

I love this jacket. I've worn it over two consecutive June weekends in Wales. Typical weather, driving rain or howling gale and drizzle on the top of hills, baking sun in the valleys. The 03 jacket works across it all. Just adjust the zips and vent accordingly. However, some pit zips would make it 5 stars. It's well-made, fuss-free, and the orange is highly visible.

This jacket meets the normal Buffalo standard of excellence. Don’t let the price put you off my last jacket is 20 years old and still going strong. This one is so light and feels so soft inside is already my go to for the daily dog walk. I had a hour in the rain and stayed dry. The wind was gusting 30mph and didn’t drop the inside microclimate. Ive wanted a thermalite jacket for decades but could never find one in stock, this I think is very similar. The thermalite trousers have been bomb proof and I think O3 jacket will be too.
