I have a few pieces from Buffalo in my wardrobe but the Dev 12 slots right in as a great lightweight piece for when the weather is mild. I wore it over a t shirt for several hours on Lytham beach last week when the rain was coming and going and I never felt anything other than warm, dry and comfortable. The fit is spot on, the fabric is soft and the silver colour is ace. A brilliant piece of practical outerwear.
This is the ultimate jacket. It has history, it has quiet style. It has tried and tested materials. Its hand made. Its local industry. It is very warm, very functional and yet has something mysterious and stylish about it. It says serious about my kit, serious about my welfare. Caring about Northern Industry and jobs.
On a personal note. I would like a few more pockets. Not the great big poacher pockets. Subtle anonymous ones. Where i can slide a key, or a stash of cash, or a tracker to stop the coat being pinched ! Cos at £470 I don't plan on it walking away without me.
Buy it...like you would buy a Burberry , an investment piece for years to come.
It's quiet and not shouty .
Just snug warmth, dryness and style. Old school swagger.
Really comfortable and beautifully made. An excellent piece of kit.
