Introduction to little Buffalo

Buffalo has been making functional Outdoor Gear for three decades. Following many requests from Buffalo users for outdoor clothing for children we began testing designs on the Buffalo team's ever increasing offspring. All the garments have now been thoroughly tested to make absolutely sure they are just right. They are not scaled down versions of the adult stuff but specifically designed by our team in Sheffield to be worn by children. All fabrics and components are the same as those used in our standard Buffalo range which we believe are the best available. The clothing is warm, windproof and extremely shower resistant. It is easily washed and dried but best of all the testers love wearing it! Equally important to us is the little Buffalo range is made in keeping with the Buffalo ethos. Good design should be simple and practical and not mass produced, but carefully made in our factory in Sheffield .

The Technical Bit

All little Buffalo products are made using the same high quality materials as our Buffalo Systems range. The clothing will keep your little ones protected from the wind and cold. Adult users of our Pertex®/Pile system may wish to know if their little ones can use their clothing in the same way as they do. We do not recommend that children wear the Mini Mountain shirt next to the skin in very cold weather but wear it with a base layer (usual clothing) underneath. As a young child's metabolism differs from an adult's we cannot be certain that a child will not overheat or become chilled so as with any clothing, guardians should keep a check that the child is comfortable. We only give this information because we know the trust Buffalo users put in their Buffalo products.

Washing

We recommend a wash before first use for very young children's clothing. This is because there may be a few loose fibres in the pile caused by the cutting process. Wash at 30° using a non biological detergent. If you wish to iron the garments use a cool setting. The garments may be tumble dried on a cool setting. If the pile becomes flat, brush with a soft clothes brush.

Proofing

We do not recommend proofing as it is unnecessary, however you may use a good quality spray on proof on the shell fabric only. Do not 'immersion proof this garment.
